AG13 Battery Equivalent

AG13 is the LR44 cell: 1.5 V alkaline, 11.6 × 5.4 mm, so anything marked 157, A76, AG76 and D76A is the same battery and will fit.

What the AG13 code is

AG13 is a generic trade number rather than an IEC designation. The AG series is common on generic and own-brand alkaline cells, sold in strips and multipacks, and it numbers the sizes in sequence instead of describing them.

The IEC code for the same cell is LR44, which is the number you will find on branded packs and in device manuals.

Upgrade or downgrade

Same size, different chemistry. Read the verdict before you buy.

Cell Chemistry Voltage Verdict
SR44 silver oxide 1.55 V Upgrade Upgrade: steadier voltage, longer life.

Similar size, check the fit

Same diameter, different thickness. These are not drop-in replacements.

Cell Size Verdict
LR1120 11.6 × 2.1 mm Same 11.6 mm diameter, but 2.1 mm tall instead of 5.4 mm. Only if the holder fits; thinner cells can lose contact.
LR1130 11.6 × 3.1 mm Same 11.6 mm diameter, but 3.1 mm tall instead of 5.4 mm. Only if the holder fits; thinner cells can lose contact.
LR43 11.6 × 4.2 mm Same 11.6 mm diameter, but 4.2 mm tall instead of 5.4 mm. Only if the holder fits; thinner cells can lose contact.

Do not use

These are the same size or a similar code, and they are not equivalents.

  • 675

Zinc-air hearing-aid cell: same size, but 1.45 V, needs air holes and drains once unsealed.

AG13 questions

What battery is AG13?
AG13 is the LR44: a 1.5 V alkaline cell, 11.6 × 5.4 mm, with a typical capacity of 110–150 mAh.
Is AG13 the same as LR44?
Yes. They are two codes for one cell, so a pack marked either way holds the same battery.
What can I use instead of AG13?
Any code in the direct replacement list above. SR44 is the same size in another chemistry: Upgrade: steadier voltage, longer life.
Is 675 a AG13 replacement?
No. Zinc-air hearing-aid cell: same size, but 1.45 V, needs air holes and drains once unsealed.
What voltage is AG13?
1.5 V, the same as any other LR44.
